After reaching the top we realized that the cable car was not gonna work due to the strong wind. So she lead us all the way down (going down is harder then up)

I can say this about Lynette she is a professional and takes safety first, she is very patient, encouraging, kind and knowledgeable as she provided us with a great deal of information during our trip.

Take extra water/snacks incase you need to go down hiking.

She collected us at 6.30am with great advice about the amount of clothing to wear and we reached the top, the right temperature and to see the beautiful views. We also had another great day out with Lynette, The Cape Peninsula full day tour which cumulated in a fantastic lunch at The Harbour House. Again, we felt lucky to have such a knowledgeable guide. It felt as if we were out with a friend. She also very kindly baked our kids a birthday cake, as a surprise, which they received at lunch! Thanks so much Lynette for making our trip perfect. Our guide Lynette was wonderful telling us a lot about table mountain itself and a lot about the nature and wildlife. And she was very helpful in making us not give up. Reaching the summit with the sun out we knew why we got up that early. It took us almost two hours to go up, others manage in 20something minutes!!! So what is your time going to be?

My husband and I are maybe 6/10 fitness, slightly better than average I’d say... read more and I’m afraid of heights, so I was nervous. But, we were lucky and got Lynette as our guide, the owner (though I think she takes care in finding good guides). She helped encourage us along the way and I’m not sure I would’ve done the end part without her. Amazing views! 360 all the way around and you get the city lights before sunrise then sunrise and even better views all the way down! One of the best hikes we have ever done! There was a marathon in Cape Town the day of our tour but we were picked up promptly, and she dropped us off at Table mountain after since there were no others on our tour and was easier to be dropped off there. We also appreciated that. She also took a few pictures for us and sent to us via WhatsApp and is very easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. All great! Other- you get a head lamp and I think I’d prefer to go up in dark and come down in light than the opposite so if you are wondering if sunrise or sunset is better I’d guess sunrise is. Hendré is clearly skilled at mountain hiking and she is an absolute delight. The hike itself is perhaps not for those significantly scared of heights, but it is well worth it.
