Platteklip Gorge Hike – Table Mountain – Cape Town

Platteklip Gorge is the most direct and oldest route to the summit. It is perceived as the easiest route, therefor it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends. It is a well-constructed path with hardly any exposure to heights. It is on the North Face of the mountain, so you have lovely views of the city and Table Bay. The Platteklip Gorge walk is a good option if you are pressed for time and have other Cape Town activities lined up.
